OK, let me clarify just a bit. Im talking about international cricketers. I have heard this as a piece of trivia - so I dont know where I can find proof of the answer.

But Ill give a couple of hints. This was way back before the 1999 World Cup and that website is NO LONGER active.

Btw when I meant make a webpage I actually meant "launch a website"

He took 10 wickets in three consecutive tests only to be dropped for the next series supposedly according to the  wishes of one of the illustrious names in cricket. And sadly, was never chosen to play for his country again.

He has taken over 200 wickets starting his career after being over 30.

He is credited with having developed a particular type of delivery.

It is said that he never removed his cap off while bowling

Who is this?

you mean tests? i have read it being Gavaskar - dunno if it has changed!

Frank Ward was preferred over Grimmett by Bradman. possible reasons - his age and also, since Bradman did not make that S.Africa tour, he probably did not witness Grimmett in action and may have influenced his decision.

Yep, its Gavaskar. I read it somewhere too but I'm pretty sure his record still holds.
Anyone want to guess how many such partnerships he was involved in ?

Here's a simple one :

Gavaskar holds the record for being the Indian batsman dismissed the most number of times by the same bowler. Who is the bowler and how many times has he dismissed SMG?

SMG also holds the dubious distinction (batting record - more than once) of having accomplished something no other opener has.

What is it ?

if you are referring to his being dismissed thrice off the first ball of a match, he isn't the only one. Hannan Sarkar of B'desh shares this with him. Hannan Sarkar is even more unique in that he was dismissed all three times by the same bowler as well, Pedro Collins.

if something else, i don't know.

Correct answer.

I am sorry, I should have specified --I was trying to keep minnows out of the equation. But I did not know that Pedro Collins was the bolwer on all 3 occasions.

Applause and over to you

This player has made only one century in his entire ODI career - he scored 102* while chasing but not only was his century in vain, it was hardly talked about because of another controversy surrounding the match. Who is this and what was that match?

Bruce Edgar was the batsman in the match which Trevor Chappell bowled the last delivery underarm.
