I feel like I didn't deserve that because it was sheer guesswork after looking ta the scoreboard but maybe I am not a fair player so will take it. Talking abt fair play:

A cricket player was ridiculed by ex-players and commentators for engaging in "fair play" in WC 2003- Who was the player and what did he do??

Are you referring to Gilchrist's walk off in spite of being given not out, on being caught behind in the semi final against SL?

Yes, and I am most impressed that you got that in quick time. Curious how you cracked it -- did the title of the picture give any hints  ;D or had you seen a picture of either of them before?

And the next question is all yours.

well, you had titled it "jokers" and then I started thinking of possible pairs and out of the blue, D&L came to mind and I looked up their pictures and it matched..... ;D

was a guess initially, of course! (i did NOT say that i concur with you on the "jokers" part  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D)

Who am I?

1. I share a breach-of-the-rulebook bowling statistics with one another person(as per the known data)

2. I was involved in a rather strange incident in the 1951/1952 series against the west indies where I refused to get a batsman out even though I could have, on "sportsmanship" grounds.

more hints that should give this away (I hope!)

#1 is a case of two successive overs being bowled by the same bowler
#2 was a situation where the batsman tripped and fell down while running and could have easily been run out but this bowler refused to clip the bails off and instead just walked up to bowl creating a stir.

I heard about Moir on a quiz ;D

When I retired from cricket I was one of only 2 left handers from my country to have scored a century ( I think there are 3 more now)

You can also find me among the top 5 in the list of "batsmen with the most number of run out dismissals (ODI) ". (Googling this one should make it a cinch, hence disallowed)

Actually, the question holds if u put in "double century" instead of century.

And akram and sohail are the only ones to achieve that.

Apologies again
