UPDATE 3-Cricket-Controversial Bell puts England in charge

NOTTINGHAM, England, July 31 (Reuters) - Ian Bell scored an

immaculate if controversial 159 that helped put England in

command against India at the close of the third day of the

second test at Trent Bridge on Sunday.

The England batsmen hammered the Indian bowling attack throughout the third day at Trent Bridge and scored 417 runs in 90 overs. They have now taken control of the test and all set to win this one.

 

Earlier, England resumed from 24/1 and continued to dominate from the beginning till the end. Ian Bell led from the front, as he scored 159 amidst the run-out controversy. Kevin Pietersen scored 63, while Eoin Morgan made 70.
