I was looking for good footage of McEnroe's serve and volley style, and came across the McEnroe-Edberg '89 Wimbledon SF, which is the first match I have very strong memories of watching, in India (my family moved to India in '89).

 It reminded me of Prem's recent post about watching tennis with his father, which I found touching. Anybody else read it?

May be. But what really sticks out is the beauty of serve and volley Tennis compared to the endless rallies we see today.
