For instance, you cannot factor physical demands of the modern game and wear 'n tear that comes with it. These athletes have to operate at a higher intensity and some of the games go just as long.

In addition, tennis has grown significantly as sport from the 80's and current players have had to compete with a more diverse group coming through the ranks.
For these reasons, I just dont see anyone touching this record of 15 GS wins.. in my lifetime...and I will probably live till 2030!!

Andy Roddick played great. He deserved to win today. WN, like you said he had only 4 bad points the entire match and you can see how every point matters even though they played about 450 points in total. Federer's serve kept him in it and Andy's just barely failed in that last game.

Can't believe we got 2 great matches in 2 years. Men's tennis rules !!!

Some guys are just losers and Andy for all the while he played did not know how to finish it off when it mattered.  Hard fact.  One can clearly see why he is so miediocre and can never win GS's consistently.

Nevertheless the legend of Federer keep growing.  Kudos to him on his 15th slam.  Incredible feat.  Amazing.

Absolutely.. and as Fedex's skills are slowing.. it will be interesting to see how he continues to pull the rabbit out of the hat.

One cannot call Roddick a loser after today's game.
