Well once more she lose in the first round -as if anything else could have happened...

reasons:

injured wrist
short of match practice
not her favorite surface
opponent played well

Let her first respect the nation that gave her stardom then we can stop blaming her...

Have done so many times before, not worth going into again...suffice to say that humility is not one of her strong suites and neither is a undying love for the nation a virtue with her.

I think this respect to the nation bit is overdone. So is the humility aspect. I wouldnt care about those things as much as long as she performs consistently.

I am really confused now. What has she done that indicates her disrespect for the nation? What am I missing here?

Game, set and now, a match for Sania

HYDERABAD: It's a love game that India's tennis sensation Sania Mirza is racing away with, leaving countless young men with that sinking feeling.

She may be out of the French Open singles but her doubles challenge, in ways more than one, is steaming ahead. For, according to a family source, Sania's betrothal to a Hyderabadi boy, Sohrab Mirza, has just been arranged.

For those looking for spice in the hows and whys, here's a dampener: There have been no quiet dates and “we are just good friends” statements.

I do not think that she has done anything wrong to the country except when the ultra-nationalists made a big problem when she was once lying by the pool wih her feet pointing towards Indian Flag which was far away.

Her major problem is that she was made a hero and and icon by the media lo0ng before she deserved it. Not very different from Urfan Pathan was described by the media as Indian Wasim Akram just before he started fading out.

Sorry Vincent don't agree,, no one ever made a comment about pressure from a billion people everytime she stepped on to the court etc...The attitude reflects in everything else she does.

For example at the Doha Asian games when Paes was playing in the singles -the Indian contingent in the crowd was represented by a lot of people(the full Indian hockey team) but not by her and her mentor who were very much in Doha.

There are other such examples as well.

Everytime when she looses, she says the same old thing that, she had very less practice before the tourment.
