Well, if KXIP had lost, Deccan would have been automatically IN.. due to their superior RR at 14 points..

Now if KXIP win, the DC vs BRC game becomes knock out and CSK plays DD in the semis. Winner of DC/BRC plays KXIP.

So?

What's wrong with resting Hayden? CSK has already qualified!

We don't know when the team was declared - before or after the KKR / RR game ended. If it was after, then we can assume that CSK rested some of their players without bothering if KXIP wins or not. If it was before, then we can put some sinister motive to it.

Even other wise there was a huge RR diff between CSK and RR . tHere was  no way RR could PIP CSK.

MATCH FIXED.. CSK throwing the game to KXIP. WTF, team selection is this!
I would not go as far as accusing someone of match fixing or throwing away a game.   But CSK does not for sure seem to exhibit the same urge one has seen of them while batting in some of the early games and the lineup.  More than anything else it is not fair for other teams depending on this game to qualify and in a way letting the Kings XI get off easy without playing their full strength.

CSK is a one trick pony. Get Hayden out early and you are most likely to win.

Can I really believe this.

Went for a nice lunch with a colleague of mine and then open up my Willow TV session being back always running in the background clicked to see in how many overs Kings X1 romped home in and I see RR of 13 plus with 6 gone for 60 odd.  Life afterall is good just right about now for a DC fan.

Nice meltdown Punjab.  What the hell was that all about.  Losers.

Now seven down.

I think DC are through to semi's irrespective of whether they win or lose tomorrow. The runrate comes into picture only for BRC and KX1P (assuming both lose)

MSD will win this game by his team selection - something that WN found suspect.

At the time of toss, when asked, MSD said that he picked off spinner because KXIP had lot of left hand batsmen and off spinners would be a good counter for them. Seeing how Murali, Ashwin and Raina have bowled, his selection of Ashwin was bang on.

Now that the Punjabi's did a huge favor to both the Hyderabadi's and the Bangalorean's they can finish it off nicely by cooking a scrumptious Punjabi meal and the eleven players from today's game can wait the DC and BRC team on the eve of their tomorrow's practice game and SS can shake and dance to his hearts content to entertain the guests.

Nice job ladies melting down in a must win game while chasing 117.

BRC will make it pzd.  Take that from me.

AK and RD will ensure their NRR will not drop below what is needed.  These guys are too savvy and smart to screw up on such a deal.

Well I dont understand these Poperplay safe palying strategy ? If you dont want ot score runs, Dont give wickets. I have seen this trend  that looking at small totals team play the forst few overs safe thereby increasing the RRR.

I would have preferred facing Delhi. DC is  very dangerous. So is BRC if Ross gets going.

I still find it suspect. Ashwin was always good and Dhoni did not even use him in a match. Thushara despite doing decently is in the Uthappa category. Why would you rest Hayden before the semis? It is better he played. A break can definitely affect his form.

CP...you might be for a surprise. Sehwag is capable but can he get it back in Semi final I suspect it.  In fact the way dices are falling and the way momentum is shifting, BRC might make it all the way to winning the cup. :p

No. That was Jakati. And they won that match too. I dont see a problem with this. He goes to those bowlers, who he feels can do the job for them in those conditions.
