Are Cricinfo Commentators paid per game? They seem awfully slow and nonchalant about the duration of the game.

According to Le Chatelier:

Waiting too long was their mistake. I think SG was advising others to take a single and give him the strike. Which with very few runs and wickets in hand was not the best strategy. The game should have been finished in penultimate over.

mccullum sucks. buchanan sucks even more. ganguly should've been sent in today--he had a better SR than Gayle today and was well set. mccullum gets sent in on reputation when he's clearly not middling any balls--missed a damn full toss

KKR lost because Buchanan forgot to appoint a Super Over captain  ;D

The mistake is the batting order

Which moron thought up this batting order ? Why did they send Hodge and Shukla before SG, thereby allowing the game to go to such a stage ?

And I agree with Suddz, Yashpal not only wasted 2 balls (penultimate over) but got himself out by trying to go for broke --unnecessary crap.

And then in the tie break instead of sending gayle and SG, they sent Gayle and McCullum.

Buchanan, Mott -- bereft of logic!!

Seriously .. It was foolish for McCullum to bat, He had not scored runs. SG had his eye in and should have come before BM

Time to rotate captains  has come.
For a change i support the multi captain theory version in which you can have different Captains as the games progress.

What puzzled me was why the strokes died down in last 3 overs . Why they wanted to wait for the last over to do the formalities

RR appears very weak this time around. No Watson, no Tanvir - Big difference. I think they are lucky to have whatever points they have on the board - with one match rained off and one close win - although one must credit them for how they pulled this one off! Esp after that Munna over, KKR should have easily pulled it off.

KKR is a better team, but again only just - and, boy, will they miss Gayle when he goes!!! Good knock by SG - although as 12th man says, they really should have finished it off earlier rather than trying to keep it till the end. I actually think Yashpal had the right idea ...get a boundary early and dissipate the pressure. The kid just proved too good for him.

Once again, Warne did very well as captain - Kamran Khan must feel like.a million bucks here, the kind of confidence Warne is showing in him - and he did very well - 18 in 4 overs (including the crucial last over) is really good. Warne made the obvious choice - he picked the best bowler of the day for the super over.

Overall, it looked like a match between lightweights. Gave us a good contest. If Warne can somehow manage to keep the Royals alive till Watto comes back and they arrange a replacement for Tait, I'll consider him a bigger God than I already do.

Any idea why Morkel is not playing??

Actually this was more about goof ups than anything else.

RR should never have let KKR get this close - but then Munaf had his brain freeze including that 13 off 1 ball!

And, after that over, KKR should have walked it - but they kept it right till the end - I agree with pankaj - a few additional blows earlier would have been much better.
