Change in DG forum organization...please read
« on: August 22, 2008, 07:15:54 PM »

Hello,
After a brief discussion, most mods were in agreement that we had too many childboards. So, now, we have made 4 major categories: General Discussion, Other Sports, ETC, Match Threads. WHen mods file posts in the archive, we will move them into seperate folders, so that way they're easy to find later.

Please try to start your thread in the appropriate section unless you feel like it is something that must be shared on the cricket board. Also, since there are only so many child boards you have to go to, please don't forget about looking at the other boards!

Suggestions are welcome.

I hope Other Sports and Etc are used appropriately.

How about naming them "Cricket"(instead of General Discussion), "Other sports", "General"? Also, Match Threads should originate in the "Cricket" board and once they become old, they can be moved a Match Thread Archive.

If the idea is to keep only cricket threads in the main board, "general discussion" is a misnomer, imo.

i hope the "ETC archive" will also get rid of the "categories", making it simple to search for an old thread.

why not make life simple and just store them chronologically?

;D .. you and dex think alike!

"Etc." is more familiar to DGians.. so we decided to keep that label.
