Sutil need not worry about future with Force India: Kolles

NEW DELHI, March 29: Force India team principal Colin Kolles scotched rumours that out-of-form driver Adrian Sutil might lose his race seat at the end of the season and said the German youngster need not worry about his future with the Vijay Mallya-owned side.

Though Sutil's potential as a driver has never been in question, the German has failed to finish both the races in Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix so far this year.

In contrast, his elder teammate and three-time Grand Prix winner Giancarlo Fisichella has looked impressive behind the wheel of the VJM01, finishing a creditable 12th in the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Kolles, however, pooh-poohed speculations that Sutil's unimpressive show might lead to his ouster and said, "That's not the case at all."

"Sutil will stay. He only needs to find the performance, which we all are convinced that he can retrieve. This is only about the psychological track," Kolles was quoted as saying by the Swiss publication 'Motorsport Aktuell'.

Meanwhile, the Force India chief showered praise on Fisichella and said the veteran Italian has engineered a giant leap forward for the team that strives to emerge as a mid-field outfit.

"Fisichella makes the difference. If you look at the data and the positives, you can see the progress made by the car with the new engine and driver. It clearly shows that we have taken a giant leap forward with Fisichella," Kolles said.

He said Sutil must learn from his elder teammate and try to follow in his footsteps.
