Oh ok. I read some article which said that Mumbai has to win all three games outright if they are to qualify.

Does Badri always come in at one down for TN or is this a first?

He is going strong on 89 off 105 balls. What a rich vein of form this guy is in.

Also, clearly, not having Pankaj Singh has had an impact on the Rajasthan bowling attack .. especially when one looks at the pace at which TN is scoring (4.3/over).

He seems to be a floater in the both first class and list-A. I have seen him bat from #3 to #6 in the last 2 seasons !!

Or he changes his batting spot dynamically based on what perceives to be weakest link in our test middle order  :D :D

Well, UP look on track to adding to its Won quota ... have already taken a lead on the first innings with just 2 wickets down ... bengal have all the running to do now.

poor umpiring let bengal down. the crucial wkt of manoj tiwary went to an inside edge that was ruled as lbw, that could be heard from miles...

I am glad to see that Paul has taken the two wickets to fall .. I hope he is able to string together a set of five-fers and get back onto that list of "potential fast bowling candidates"

Paul takes two more ..   SS Paul 17 4 62 4 3.64  ... all of the wickets to fall so far.

UP, however, in the driver's seat .. 85 runs ahead and kaif going strong on 46

UP right on top now, leading by 189 runs with just 5 wickets down.

Kaif leading the way with a captain's knock of 82* .. looking very compact against what looks like a pedestrian attack.

Bose really looks off colour. Paul has been the one saving grace, grabbing all 5 wickets to fall so far.

They are showing this live on Neo Sports :)

UP lose 2 quick wickets .. Kaif and Chawla gone for 91 and 53 respectively.

And, Praveen Kumar manhandling Bose now ... four and a HUGE six in the same over.

Gupta gets 5'er and Chawla only 1. In first innings too PC got the tail. Not good enough. Tiwary started his season well but has only scored in two innings.

Saurashtra won their game within 3 days too. They are leading group A now. Delhi may lose their chance of playing in Semis because their next game is in Chennai where its raining a lot. Another wash out and they are out of semis. Mumbai and Saurashtra from group A and Baroda and UP from group B seems like making it to Semis.

Why does Mumbai need the win  ??? - they will have 18 pts after this game, same as Delhi whose match against Karnataka is washed out. Both Delhi and Mumabi will be 2nd after Saurashtra. It does set up an exciting final; round with 4 teams vying for the 2 semi-final spots.

How many points does a team get for the first innings lead? And, how many for an abandoned / first innings not completed match??

Is there any place where the entire points system is explained?

May I ask for some information about the following individuals (information that you can gauge from watching them play) who are in the top ten wicket takers in the Ranji Trophy, ahead of many more well known names.

AK Thakur
R Vinay Kumar
S Tyagi
SP Jobanputra
VS Malik

Thanks.
