For Mods to Consider
« on: July 20, 2007, 04:33:42 AM »

Having been through the Summer Arcade Warfare everything else seems pretty tame by comparision. However it is a little disconcerting to open a thread to find that the discussion on it is anything but the topic. A recent example as also pointed out by Sudzz, is the Wasim Jaffer post. While watching a brawl from the sidelines may be entertaining for a while, it tends to lose its charm after a while. I was only wondering if the Mods could not intervene to edit such posts that go off track and put them elsewhere for discusssion on that particular issue to continue, so that the original post retains its flavour. At the rate we are going it will not be long before we start a topic on the 'Beauty of VVS's Batting' and end up discussing Aishwarya! Though that also would be welcome on a another post.

good suggestion, broadbat. we have tried to do so and perhaps with additions of new mods, we will be more succesful in doing so. we'll certainly give it a try!

Since splitting in suhc a painful job to do, going forward, the onus and responsibility should be on the members (and mods alike) to avoid/reduce such occurances.
